Harmony Counseling

At Harmony Counseling, we provide therapy services for children ages 5-12. Our approach to counseling is different than most traditional talk therapy. We believe that children are unique creative beings with individual needs. Children do not have the capacity to verbally communicate or understand language the way that adults do. Therefore, we use age- appropriate techniques that are familiar to children and that they can easily understand. At Harmony Counseling, our approach is to use various modes of creative expression through play therapy, sandtray therapy, equine assisted therapy, music, art, and nature-based therapy. These various modalities are incorporated to help children express their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. This type of therapy is beneficial for those with limited language or communication skills, as well as, those who have experienced trauma and may have difficulty finding the words to tell their story and express themselves. Sessions take place in a peaceful setting at various "office spaces" at Redemption Ranch. From our unique barn office, sandtray room, child friendly playroom, or our beautiful outdoor pavilion overlooking nature and horses grazing, your child will begin to HEAL- GROW- and BLOOM.
